It's finally happening: the first ever 100% gluten-free Quokka Pastry High Tea! 

I've teamed up with Amelia (@socialcoeliacsydney) to bring you the very first Quokka Pastry High Tea experience: an afternoon of fun, laughter and of course delicious pastries!

WHEN: Saturday, November 8th, 2025 from 2pm to 5pm.

WHERE: Canva Space, 110 Kippax Street, Surry Hills 2010, NSW.

ON THE MENU

  • A taste of the Spring pastries, reimagined in a petit four form: lemon meringue chou, cappuccino tartlet, fraisier and chocolate and pear dessert. 
  • Fluffy scones with cream and jam
  • For the first time ever: a selection of savoury pastries
  • Barista-made coffee and a curated tea selection

This is an intimate event, with only 16 seats available. It's the perfect way to spend an afternoon with friends, treat yourself, and experience Quokka Pastry like never before.

ABOUT AMELIA

💚 I was born into a loud, Italo-Australian family where dessert was a nightly ritual. While other kids were drinking milkshakes at my parents' cake shop, I earned pocket money so I could buy the last ricotta cannoli. 

🤍 These days, I'm an adult-diagnosed coeliac and the voice behind @socialcoeliacsydney on Instagram. Working as a marketing manager (aka event and brand strategist) allows me to put GF cake on the table. 

❤️ I’m on a mission to prove that coeliac life doesn’t mean living without connection, conversation or cake. 

ABOUT NADJA

I’m the founder, pastry chef, content creator and everything in between behind Quokka Pastry. 
 
Originally from Switzerland, I moved to Sydney almost six years ago for a fresh start. While studying culinary school, I was diagnosed with the coeliac gene, and had to cut gluten out of my diet. Ironic right? It was a challenge that meant relearning everything I’d been taught to create gluten-free pastries that taste just as good as the originals.
 
I started Quokka Pastry in January 2023 while juggling a full-time job, and since then I’ve been crafting delicious gluten-free treats every month. My mission is simple: to create pastries so good you wouldn’t even believe they’re gluten-free, and most importantly, to bring a smile to your face!

ALLERGENS

All the menu items are 100% gluten free, safe for coeliacs.

However they all contain or may contain traces of: milk, dairy, eggs, soy lecithin, gelatine, tree nuts, sesame seeds and peanuts.

Unfortunately, dietary requirements beyond gluten free will not be able to be accommodated.

All tickets are non-refundable.

As your booking will take place alongside other persons, speeches, presentations, or games are not permitted.

External food and/or beverages are not permitted to ensure the safety of the event.

One high tea must be ordered per guest.
